We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the following sites. Expressions of Interest can be submitted any time up to 17 November 2025, with early applications encouraged.
L1 Redcliffe Wharf

A meanwhile use opportunity pending redevelopment of this significant and iconic harbourfront site. Previous uses have included urban beaches and roller disco.
L2 The Grove

A great meanwhile use opportunity pending development of this centrally located harbourfront site located on the main pedestrian commuter route into the city.
L3 Millennium Square Compound

This central site would work for a variety of uses including cultural and food and beverage businesses that would complement the events programme and surrounding public spaces such as the Amphitheatre and Millennium Square.
L4 Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square

This is a popular event site in the heart of the harbour, close to many cultural and leisure venues. Opportunities exist to expand the events programme, reawakening this as a year-round place to work, eat and be.
L5 Redcliffe Caves

The Redcliffe Caves hold a unique opportunity, originally dug in the Middle Ages, the caves are a series of man-made tunnels that are now one of Bristol’s most exciting, and almost mythic, event spaces.
L6 Lower Guinea Street

Overlooking the beautiful Bathurst Basin adjacent to the John Sebastian Light Ship, is an underutilised quayside with potential to be brought back to life.
L7 Phoenix Wharf

Around the corner from the popular Ostrich pub is an opportunity to rejuvenate a neglected slipway and quayside to enhance the harbour’s water-leisure offer.
L8 Baltic Wharf

In the harbour’s watersports hub, part of the boat storage area offers an opportunity for leisure uses pending the delivery of a new watersports centre.
W1 Mardyke

Opportunity for two commercial moorings between the Grain Barge and Capricorn Quay. A fantastic spot for a wellness, food and beverage, or hotel to complement the existing and highly popular Grain Barge and existing water activities.
W2 Harbour Inlet

One of the best moorings in the harbour: it sits in a tranquil enclave near to the restaurants and bars of the Harbour Inlet and the popular moorings of Hannover Quay. There is an opportunity for one mooring or on-water structure , which lends itself to a wellness business.
W3 Amphitheatre

This location is set to become the new heart of the harbour with the refurbishment of the Canon’s House building and public realm. There is an opportunity for two heritage or feature vessels with potential to become major new attractions.
W4 Narrow Quay

A number of fantastic opportunities for commercial moorings (food and beverage, hotel, cultural) to line the quayside and spill out onto the tree-lined boulevard.
W5 Bush Corner

Outside one of Bristol’s most iconic venues lies waterfront space with potential for a heritage mooring vessel as a new city-defining cultural attraction.
W6 Mud Dock

Close to Prince Street Bridge, and on the approach to the Thekla (one of Bristol’s most iconic late-night venues), there is an opportunity for a commercial vessel to moor and spill out onto the Mud Dock quayside.
W7 Wapping Wharf

Close to M Shed and the Princes Wharf Cranes, is an opportunity for a vessel to compliment the bustling commercial and cultural hub that is Wapping Wharf.
W8 Bathurst Basin

This site has an opportunity for commercial moorings along the east side of Bathurst Basin. This is a quiet and residential part of the harbour and would suit a high-end wellness, cultural or hotel business.
W9 Totterdown Basin

Adjacent to Bristol University’s new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, which is due to open in September 2026, is an opportunity for new commercial vessels that cater to the student population.
W10 Bordeaux Quay

There is an excellent opportunity for a new commercial mooring in this busy and lively part of the harbour, known for its evening and night-time economy and many food, beverage and cultural offerings.
B1 Amphitheatre Shed

A small hut in the heart of the harbour, this building would be a fantastic opportunity for food and beverage, a cultural business, small office or a pop up shop.
